Price Increases for 2012

Dear Valued Subscribers and Readers,

At this time of year, as I count my blessings, I think about the people who have supported the Omaha Star Newspaper over the years.  And, of course, I am always pleased as we gain new supporters.  So I say thank you to our subscribers, readers and advertisers, and I wish you the happiest of holiday seasons.

For the past five years, we have struggled to offer you a quality publication at a reasonable cost.  However, due to the economic downturn, and rising printer, paper and postal costs, we are forced to raise our prices.  Effective January 1, 2012 the following changes will take place:  In town (Omaha) subscriptions will be $40 per year; out-of-town subscriptions will be $50 per year, and the purchase price of an individual newspaper will be 75 cents.

We are excited to offer our subscribers the opportunity to receive paperless billing statements.  If you are a subscriber, and would prefer to receive your future billing statements online, please email:  eleanor @omahastarinc.com and provide her your name, address, phone number and e-mail address. If you have questions, comments or concerns, please phone me at 402.346.4041, option 2. Thank you for your continued business.  We look forward to serving you more efficiently in 2012.

Sincerely,

Marguerita Washington
